Throughout 50 concise chapters, Merrill introduces readers to well known men and women like Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth-Etter, John G Lake, and William Seymour, as well as lesser known people like Leo Josef Suenens and Demos Shakarian. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn about the history of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements.   Rekindle the Altar Fire is the first book I have read by either author, Chuck Pierce and Alemu Beeftu, and it is one of the best books I have read recently. Throughout fourteen chapters, the authors teach the history, function, and importance of altars, both physical and spiritual. Some of these themes include Why Build an Altar?, Overthrowing False Altars, Keeping the Altar Fire Burning, and Fresh Fire for Salvation and Revival. A. W. Tozer (1897-1963) is one of the most well known Christian authors and The Pursuit of God is the book he is probably best known for. Before reading Last Days Survival Guide, I had never read anything by pastor, author, and Bible teacher Rick Renner, so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. Throughout over 450 pages, Renner provides biblical evidence, not fearmongering or misreading current events, to prove that we are living in the Last Days. He relies heavily upon Scripture, biblical Greek, and facts to make his case.  Although the book is heavily fact based, the intent of the book is highly practical.
