Destroying Fear - John Ramirez - Book Review

Image
In Destroying Fear, author, deliverance minister, and former satanic priest John Ramirez writes about one of the enemy’s most common, and subtle, tactics: fear. Through 18 chapters like: Facing the Spiritual Pharaoh, Identifying the Source of Fear, Doing Damage to the Kingdom of Darkness, and Giving Fear an Eviction Notice, Ramirez shares from personal experience about how fear isn’t necessary and doesn’t have to rule your life. I highly recommend this book as a guidebook on spiritual warfare against fear.  I received a complimentary copy of this book from Chosen books in exchange for an honest review.  John Ramirez  (www.johnramirez.org) is an internationally known evangelist, author and highly sought-out speaker who for more than 16 years has been teaching believers around the globe how to defeat the enemy. Something Needs to Change - David Platt - Book Review

Something Needs to Change, the latest book by New York Times bestselling author David Platt, is written as a memoir, telling the story of Platt’s life-changing eight day trek through the Himalayas. Platt describes each day’s events in great detail, like his experiences with dire physical and spiritual need, his internal wrestling with his beliefs, and his journal entries about it all. Throughout this journey, he urges the reader to abandon complacency concerning all the urgent needs in this world and to actually do something about them. I highly recommend this book and author. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Waterbrook & Multnomah in exchange for an honest review.
