Packed with personal stories, the book is almost entirely written as firsthand testimonies of healings and other miracles. Something Needs to Change, the latest book by New York Times bestselling author David Platt, is written as a memoir, telling the story of Platt’s life-changing eight day trek through the Himalayas. Platt describes each day’s events in great detail, like his experiences with dire physical and spiritual need, his internal wrestling with his beliefs, and his journal entries about it all. Before reading Fire! I had never heard of James Levesque, but after reading the list of endorsements by men like Bill Johnson, Carlos Annacondia, John Arnott, David Hogan, Michael Brown, Rick Joyner, and Rodney Howard-Browne, I thought it would definitely be worth reading.  Throughout twelve chapters like “Learning to Receive”, “Living in Pursuit of His Presence”, “Living Surrendered”, and  “Believing Outpouring Can Continue”, Levesque encourages readers to abandon status-quo Christianity and pursue revival.
